This was truly an exciting event, and the first of its kind in Bangladesh. The event was sponsored by Therap Services, LLC and was organized by SQABD. It was held on March 31, 2008, at Washington Hotel, Gulshan-1.
This event was for the software development professionals, that includes programmers, testers, project managers, quality analysts, program managers and others. I appreciate everyone's enthusiasm. I think it was great to have all these people with different skills under one roof, enjoying themselves!
We had 130 participants and the organizers did a great job managing it. It was fun!
Those who missed it can watch the full video from the download link above. Be sure not to miss the next one. This was the first of the series of such events we plan to have.
All the presenters had 5 minutes each for their presentations, followed by 5 minutes of Q&A. Here are the list of topics and the presenters at the event:
- What is preventing me to write nearly accurate code. Presented by NHM Tanveer Hossain (Hasan), Head of Technology, SomewhereIn
- How fun fosters motivation -- from a developer's view. Presented by Shaikh Sonny Aman, Senior Developer, Trippert Labs
- Git -- Stupid, Fast, distributed content tracker. Presented by Md. Mozammel Haque, Project Manager, Therap (BD) Ltd.
